They Royals Reportedly Snubbed Prince Harry & Meghan Markle, Didn’t Invite Them to Christmas in Sandringham
The royals aren’t any closer to mending fences with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. According to a source who spoke to People, the couple didn’t receive an invitation for Christmas in Sandringham, which is hosted every year by King Charles.
While details of this snub are still unclear, a friend of Harry’s previously told the outlet that Harry and his family aren’t on speaking terms, explaining, “He gets ‘unavailable right now.’ His calls go unanswered. He has tried to reach out about the King’s health, but those calls go unanswered too.”
Bummer that everyone can’t put their differences aside for the holidays, but honestly this year sounds kind of tense in general.
According to the Daily Beast, Prince William and Kate Middleton are hosting a “rival” more “middle class” (I’ll give you a moment to laugh) Christmas party at their home in what’s said to be a “coup” against King Charles.
As friend of the couple put it, there’s “always been a slightly covert, rival Christmas party at [William and Kate’s] house, but it’s going to be much more obvious this year. If they post pictures, it’ll be an official coup attempt.”
Meanwhile, William is “especially” poised to skip Christmas with King Charles if Queen Camilla invites her son, Tom Parker-Bowles. A source previously told the Daily Beast that, “It is best to avoid mentioning Tom around William” and that Wills is nervous about Tom’s “rather louche lifestyle as a Mayfair bon vivant.”
