Ruby Wax was thrown off Donald Trump's plane when she laughed at his dream of becoming president

Comic Ruby Wax has revealed that President Donald Trump chucked her off his private jet when she laughed at his presidential dreams.

The incident happened way back in the 1990s, when Ruby interviewed the 70-year-old business tycoon for her TV show, ‘Ruby Wax Meets…’ and the pair were mid-flight when Trump demanded the plane landed specifically so he could boot her and her team off.

Speaking on Australian TV show ‘The Project’, Ruby recalled: “He threw me off his plane. We were at 33,000 feet and he told me he wanted to be the next President of the United States and I laughed.

“He said, ‘Land the plane. I want her out of here’, so I’m now with my crew in Arkansas and we weren’t going to Arkansas.”

She later dubbed the interview “one of the most excruciating moments of her career” and, unsurprisingly, the scenes never aired.

This isn’t the first time that Trump has been accused of ejecting people who don’t pander to his every whim, with Liam Payne revealing that the new President of the United States once booted One Direction out of his hotel because their manager refused to wake them up there and then so that they could meet his daughter.

He revealed: “Trump actually kicked us out of his hotel once. You wouldn’t believe it. It was about [meeting] his daughter. He phoned up our manager and we were asleep.

“He said, ‘Well, wake them up,’ and I was like, ‘No,’ and then he wouldn’t let us use the underground garage. Obviously, in New York, we can’t really go outside. New York is ruthless for us.

“So he was like, ‘OK, then I don’t want you in my hotel.’ So we had to leave.”
