Run Away: James Nesbitt to star in new Netflix mystery series
James Nesbitt has been announced as the star of new Netflix mystery series Run Away.
Last year, following the success of series Fool Me Once, two further projects from author Harlan Coben were greenlit with the streaming giant. The hit series 'Missing You', featuring Nesbitt, followed this announcement.
Prior to 'Missing You', the Northern Irish actor had also featured in another Coben series, as DS Michael Broome in 2021 hit Stay Close. 'Run Away' will enter production later this month, with filming taking place in Manchester and the northwest of England.

James Nesbitt will play the leading role of Simon, a man whose perfect life begins to crumble after his daughter Paige (Ellie de Lange) runs away.
Speaking to Netflix about the show, Coben said: “Run Away is about family — about what we will do to keep our family intact, what secrets we keep within our family, and what secrets we keep as a family. Every time you walk past the house, there’s a whole universe that goes on behind that door and none of us have a clue what it is.”
The eight-episode thriller — inspired by Coben’s 2019 novel of the same name — will uncover those secrets, as Simon realises he has a chance to save Paige. However, his journey will unearth untold violence that threatens to “blow up” his family for good.
Nesbitt will be joined by co-stars Ruth Jones, Minnie Driver, Alfred Enoch, Lucian Msamati, and more for all of the show's surprises.
