A nutrition expert popular for sharing “daily health truth” has revealed the five items he would buy in Aldi.

Sunna van Kampen, founder and CEO of Tonic Health, a supplement brand free from artificial ingredients, took to his TikTok page earlier this month to showcase some of his favorite Aldi products.

Filming himself inside the popular German grocery store, Sunna showed the five items he’d recommended fellow shoppers to buy.

He started with a pot of “proper” authentic Greek yogurt with 10% fat, which he explained was higher in protein, lower in sugar, and “only £1.89”.

A high protein, low sugar diet can help you feel full, maintain a healthy weight, and improve your overall health, Healthline explains .

In Sunna’s video, which has since amassed over 383,000 views, Real West Country butter was unveiled as the second top Aldi product.

“[It’s] where I grew up, is why I love it, cause it's locally produced and made and it's proper traditional butter as it should be,” the TikToker explained.

The nutrition expert further urged shoppers to buy Aldi’s “legit olive oil from Italy. single source.”

He claimed: “This is the way to buy your olive oil. Always single source, always in a dark bottle. And extra virgin, of course.”

Single source olive oil is olive oil that comes from olives grown, harvested, and processed in a single location. This can be a single farm, region, or country, as per Italian brand DeLallo.

“This hundred percent almond butter,” Sunna shared next as he panned on a jar of palm-free oil crunchy almond butter.

“Obviously is £1.79,” he added. “That's super cheap and amazing.”

Moving onto the store’s bakery aisle, Sunna showed a dark rye sourdough bread “actually made out of rye flour, which is better for your health.”

“Plus it's real sourdough. No additives, no seed oils. That's the one to do,” he concluded.

The healthy eating advisor’s video sparked positive feedback, with one commentator suggesting: “Lidl has a Greek yoghurt with 5% fat which seems to me a good option if you don't want the full 10%.”

Another person penned: “I love that butter….. I use it for almost everything so nice in pasta.”

A separate individual chimed in: “Wow what’s not to like thank you.”
