Kate Beckinsale’s ex, Matt Rife, has issued a warning to US comedian Pete Davidson.

Beckinsale, 45, and Davidson, 25, confirmed their relationship over the weekend as they passionately kissed at a hockey game.

But stand-up comedian Rife, 23, who dated Beckinsale for a year in 2017 after they met when he was 21, told TMZ that Davidson should ‘enjoy it while he can’.

The celebrity news site’s cameraman asked Rife if he had any advice for Davidson.

“Advice for Pete? Man to man? Run,” Rife replied.

“Enjoy it while you can. I hope they’re both happy and it can build to an established good relationship. I don’t really have any solid advice – just be careful.”

“We dated for a year and it was complicated for sure. A lot of ups and downs but she’s moved on and I’m happy. I’m hoping they’re both getting out of it what they want.”

And when asked if he’d ever date the Underworld actress again, he said: “No, absolutely not. Not a chance.”

Davidson was previously in a relationship with Ariana Grande, and the pair were even engaged for four months in 2018.
