RuPaul’s Drag Race is bringing UK version to the BBC

RuPaul’s Drag Race is coming to the UK and will be airing on the BBC.

Drag Race creators World of Wonder confirmed the news on Twitter, writing: "Hey, UK, we're comin' your way! RuPaul's Drag Race UK coming to @bbcthree next year."

RuPaul told The Sun: "I am beyond excited to celebrate the massive charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent of the Queen’s queens. And before anyone asks, yes, we would be thrilled to have Meghan Markle join us, as we are already preparing a 'Royal-Mother-To-Be' runway challenge."

The series, consisting of eight episodes and 10 contestants, will air on BBC Three. It marks the first time an international version of the show has RuPaul hosting.

Meanwhile, RuPaul's Drag Race recently said halleloo to the holidays in the first teaser for its Christmas special.

Some of the best-loved queens in Drag Race herstory come home for the holidays in the clip, as Shangela, Latrice Royale, Kim Chi, Jasmine Masters and All Stars 3 winner Trixie Mattel compete in this one-off special to become the Christmas Queen.

RuPaul's Drag Race Holi-slay Spectacular will also include an extended sneak preview of All Stars 4 ahead of its premiere the following Friday night (December 14).

RuPaul's Drag Race Holi-slay Spectacular airs on Friday, December 7 on VH1 in the US, and is followed just one week later on Friday, December 14 by the premiere of All Stars 4.
