Russell Brand returns to radio with Radio X comedy show

Russell Brand is back on the radio.

The comedian, actor and presenter will be hosting a new weekly comedy show on Radio X.

The Russell Brand Show will be broadcast live from 11am to 1pm this Sunday (April 2) and every Sunday thereafter.

Speaking to former Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles on Radio X this morning (March 30), Russell said:

"The big news is from this Sunday between 11 and 1pm I will be broadcasting live on Radio X. Me, The Russell Brand Show.

"I'm going to be on Radio X - the show will be about joy, unity and togetherness.

"Sorry for any offence in advance."

The Get Him to the Greek actor also revealed who his first celebrity guest will be: none other than former Oasis frontman - and Russell's former radio co-host- Noel Gallagher.

Yes, Russell and Noel will be chatting on a live Sunday breakfast show - what could possibly go wrong?

"Noel Gallagher's coming on the first show for the second hour," Russell added. "I asked him nicely.

"I'm very excited. This is what happens when you trigger Article 50.

"Now we've triggered Article 50, Russell Brand will be back on the radio. That's the reality."

Brand's previous radio experience has included 6 Music, TalkSport and his infamous Radio 2 stint that ended with the Andrew Sachs incident.

The Russell Brand Show will be broadcast from 11am to 1pm this Sunday (April 2) on Radio X.
