Russell Crowe cooks up Ratatouille and transforms into ‘skincare man’ for Instagram debut

Russell Crowe showed off his funny side as he made his Instagram debut with a handful of comical posts.

The Hollywood star, 53, transformed into ‘Skincare man’ and cooked up a pot of Ratatouille as he introduced himself to fans on the photo sharing app.

Crowe showed off his beauty regime and told budding actors that the key to success lies with the ability to make a “perfect Ratatouille”.

Alongside a picture of himself in his kitchen he posted: “To celebrate my foray into Instagram I wanted to share something deeply artistic with you.

“To those who ask the age old question ‘how do I have a career in acting like yours?’ this is my answer... You must be able to make a perfect Ratatouille...”

The Gladiator actor then posted “the steps and secrets” to creating the dish before finishing: “There it is Academy Award winning Ratatouille. I wish you the best in your acting career.”

He later posted a funny video to introduce his new superhero character – Skincare man.

Crowe can be seen sporting a white face mask as he slowly reveals himself to the camera before saying: “From the DC Universe comes… Skincare man.”

Unable to keep a straight face, the actor records himself laughing at his joke.

Crowe’s decision to join Instagram comes three years after he warned fans of fake accounts claiming to be him.

He tweeted: “I don’t use Instagram, just Twitter. There is someone pretending to be me on Instagram…must be odd to want to do that, embarrassing really.”
