Russell Crowe reveals that Ed Sheeran is 'engaged' to Cherry Seaborn

Today’s surprising news comes courtesy of Hollywood actor Russell Crowe, who has seemingly accidentally revealed that Ed Sheeran is engaged to his long-term girlfriend, Cherry Seaborn.

To be entirely honest, we had no idea that Russell and Ed were so close.

Russell, 53, referred to Cherry as Ed’s “fiancee” in a new interview, where he also revealed that he and the British singer have developed a strong friendship after being introduced by mutual friends.

In fact, the Aussie actor said that he and Ed are so close that when Ed and Cherry visit Australia they often stay at his home.

Blimey.

Speaking to The Sun, Russell explained: “We became friends through people we know and he was on tour and came to stay.

“We just became friendly and he has since come back with his fiancée for more time and stuff.”

Ed previously admitted that he and Cherry are on the right track for marriage but insisted that he didn’t plan on becoming an honest man any time soon.

The 26-year-old star said at the time: “I am not getting married soon. People just keep asking me about it. I would like to get married eventually, but it’s not impending.

“I don’t think you get normality from the wrong marriage, you get normality from the right marriage, the right friends and the right environment – and I think I am on a really good path to all three.”

The star also previously boasted about spending every single day of his year-long hiatus from the limelight with Cherry, revealing that despite living in each other’s pockets they still haven’t had a single argument.

If that’s not a match made in heaven then we’re not sure what is.

Ed has not publicly responded to Russell’s revelation, and we have a feeling that the actor should be expecting a stern phone call from the singer any day now…
