Ucas Clearing is by no means a second-rate option when it comes to securing a university place. You may be disappointed if you miss your offer, but there are thousands of great courses out there to choose from.

This year, 16 of the 24-strong elite Russell Group universities have entered Clearing, so even if you didn't do as well as you had hoped, you might still find yourself at a top institution this September.
