Russia Sends Humanoid Robot to Space Station in Rocket Test Flight
Roscosmos launched a humanoid robot toward the International Space Station aboard an unmanned test flight from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on August 22.
Footage from Roscomos shows a Soyuz 2.1a rocket, carrying a Soyuz MS-14 spacecraft, successfully lift off from launch pad No 31 at 6:38 am local time, with its docking scheduled at 05:30 UTC on August 24.
The spacecraft will bring scientific equipment for experiments, medication, food supplies, and packages for the space station crew. It will also deliver the Skybot F-850, which will take on hazardous tasks on board the spacecraft, including spacewalks, Roscosmos said.
