Russia tests mysterious ‘Object 4202’ super-weapon as tensions with West grow

Amid heightening tensions with the West, Russia has tested a new, highly classified ‘super weapon’ - a glider warhead which can evade anti-missile systems and deliver a nuclear warhead.

The device - known as ‘Object 4202’ - is shrouded in secrecy, but is believed to be able to deliver warheads at extremely high speed, bypassing missile defence systems.

It is reportedly meant to be used with Russia’s ‘super nuke’ ‘Satan 2’ missile - which may be able to carry up to three ‘hypersonic glide vehicles’ as its payload.

Russia showed off designs for the ‘Satan 2’ missile this week, boasting that its nuclear payload would be able to devastate an area the size of Texas.

‘Object 4202’ was launched on an RS-18 ballistic missile this Tuesday, and was tested successfully, according to a report by Russia Today.

During the test, the warhead travelled from a site near the town of Yasny, in the southern Urals to the Kura test range in Russia’s far East.

Russia’s Defence Ministry said, ‘The test was a success. The warhead was delivered to Kura field.’
