Russian Nuclear-Powered Submarine Test-Launches Ballistic Missile

A Russian nuclear-powered submarine has test-launched a ballistic missile from underwater, according to reports.

Russia’s Ministry of Defence on October 29 posted video of the nuclear-powered submarine, named Knyaz Vladimir, firing the missile.

RT reported that the Bulava missile was fired from the White Sea to the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia’s Far East.

The Moscow Times said the sub was undergoing sea trials and was due to be delivered to the Russian Navy’s Northern fleet in December. Credit: Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation via Storyful
