You'll be pleased to hear that This Morning presenting duo and the nation's honorary mum and dad Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes go through blips just like every couple.

Yes, revealing that she too gets jealous of Eamonn and his bevy of female fans, Ruth admitted that she likes to keep an eye on who her hubby meets – even if they are pensioners.

Chatting to OK! Online during This Morning Live last week, Ruth confessed that while some fan encounters are "really cool", others require a more watchful eye.

After Eamonn joked that Ruth would have been jealous if the tables were turned when a male fan hugged his wife, Ruth conceded: "There was one woman who I thought was getting a bit too close to you.

"I saw her kissing you on the cheek and I did have to give her a little look."

The woman in question? A 75-year-old, apparently. "Even her, I had to give her a little look like, 'You can look but you can't touch!'" The cheek.

In other scandalous news, Eamonn has been singing resident shit-stirrer Piers Morgan's praises recently, even suggesting that he is "the saviour of breakfast television".

"Piers Morgan means that there is a breakfast genre to work in," he said. "He has saved it... not just for ITV, but for all the other channels as well. People have to understand what Piers Morgan brings to the table."

We reckon the jury's out on that one, Eamonn...
