Ruth Langsford breaks silence after Eamonn Holmes' new girlfriend is revealed
Ruth Langsford has taken to social media to share a moment of joy following the revelation of her ex Eamonn Holmes' new romance.
The seasoned presenter, 64, posted on Instagram a touching photo alongside her QVC colleague Rezzy Ghadjar, tenderly cradling Rezzy's baby bump, both beaming with happiness.
Originally posted by Rezzy on her Instagram Stories with the caption: "Always such a pleasure to work with this one @ruthlangsford," complete with a sequence of love heart emojis, Ruth reciprocated the warmth by reposting the image to her own Stories and lovingly commenting: "Lovely to see you and your bump!"
In the photograph, Ruth looked chic in khaki trousers paired with a crisp white jacket and sporty white trainers, while her co-host Rezzy radiated summer vibes in a flowing blue and white polka dot dress.
This congenial exchange occurs as Eamonn, Ruth's former husband of over a decade, seems to have solidified his relationship with 42-year-old Katie Alexander; the two having been spotted frequently together sparking rumours, reports the Mirror.
Recently, Michael Devine, Katie's former partner, spoke to Mail Online providing details that their 22-year-old son Ben has confirmed to him Katie's relationship with Eamonn.
Devine said: "Ben told me Eamonn and Katie were together, but he doesn't say much, he's more interested in kicking a football around."
Michael retains an amicable relationship with Katie, even after their separation nearly twenty years ago.
He expresses his positive outlook on Katie's new chapter with a GB News presenter, stating: "We've been split up for a lot of years now, but I see my son regularly, maybe once a week," adding further, "There are no hard feelings whatsoever towards Katie, she's a nice woman, she really is. I wish her well. Absolutely brilliant, is Katie."
The unexpected announcement of Ruth and Eamonn's split in May took fans by surprise, driving Ruth out of the spotlight as Eamonn addressed the sad news upon his return to GB News. It appears she has also been pulling away from her circle of friends post-split.
Reflecting on her connections as she resumed her role as a panelist on Loose Women, Ruth shared insights on her tight-knit friendships: "I've got girlfriends from school. Julie, Helen and Jenny, they were with me recently and they are my 4am friends."
Addressing her stance on unhealthy relationships, she remarked: "I wouldn't have toxic friends and over the years I haven't had a full blown fall out but I just distance myself from people when I start to feel that it's becoming toxic or jealousy or catty. I just think you're not my friend if you are behaving like that. So I just remove myself."
