Renowned Loose Women host Ruth Langsford has reportedly enlisted the services of a 'fierce' attorney in anticipation of her divorce from Eamonn Holmes.

Earlier this year, the TV presenter, 64, parted ways with the GB News anchor, also 64, after 14 years together. Following their split, Eamonn has been seen with his new partner, Katie Alexander, 42.

Eamonn was spotted in an electric wheelchair at Heathrow Airport last week, prior to jetting off to Barcelona, Spain, with Katie to embark on Virgin Voyager's opulent cruise, as reports the Mirror.

Eamonn was seen with his hand on Katie's back - and bum - as they made their way off the boat. Katie looked very glamorous wearing a black cocktail dress and sky high stilettos clutching a £850 Loewe raffia bag. They were then whisked off with some pals where they enjoyed their night at a restaurant with red wine on the menu at £500, according to The Sun.

It comes as reports suggest Ruth has hired a tough divorce solicitor. It is believed she has engaged Catherine Costley, esteemed protegee of Baroness Fiona Shackleton, the leading divorce lawyer behind such high-profile cases as King Charles's divorce from Princess Diana and Sir Paul McCartney's legal proceedings.

Having learned under Baroness Shackleton, Ms Costley has purportedly advised all women to maintain a "go bag" financial reserve for rapid departures from relationships, as per claims by The Sun.

Sources suggest that Ruth sought out Ms Costley's expertise several months back, recognising that her 14-year marriage to Eamonn was coming to a close.

The pair announced their split in May this year after more than a decade together.

A statement read: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”
