Ruth Langsford shows off her mini fan on lunch date with Eamonn Holmes

Ruth Langsford enjoyed a sunny lunch date with husband Eamonn Holmes on Sunday (10 August), sharing a photo on Instagram with a nice glass of rosé. But it was something else that caught fans' eyes – her handy mini fan, sat right in the middle of the table.

The handheld fan, that can be folded so the handle can be used as a stand, was the talk of the comments section, with many asking where it was from or saying that they had a similar one.

There were so many comments that Ruth then gave the mini fan a whole post to itself, and revealed it was actually a gift from a celebrity pal.

She wrote in the caption: "For those asking... The mini fan was a gift to me from Gok Wan ... Best thing EVER... As a woman of a certain age I take it everywhere!! x."

Given the current heatwave, we're hardly surprised that Ruth is taking her fan everywhere. And, thanks to its ability to change from handheld to free-standing, you really could use it anywhere, whether you're out and about on a day trip, at home in the garden or out for a spot of lunch like Ruth.
