Ryan Reynolds treated Wrexham AFC to a sneak peak of his latest Netflix film Red Notice in a hilarious new ‘trailer on a trailer.’

The Hollywood icon, who co-owns the Welsh football club, showed his love for the team during the 67 second clip paying tribute to local figures while promoting his new movie.

Wrexham got an exclusive first look at the film which was advertised on a big screen and towed through the town.

“I personally can’t stand those celebrities who take advantage of filming opportunities to promote their personal interests,” Reynolds joked.

“Thank you to Ifor Williams for putting our Red Notice trailers on their trailers.”

Red Notice also stars The Rock Dwayne Johnson and Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot.

Meanwhile the trailer features Welsh football legend Robbie Savage who tells Reynolds in Welsh that his costars are ‘like two farts in a jam pot.’

Wrexham AFC vice-captain Luke Young also appears, referring to himself as ‘the Rock of Wrexham.’

Local baker Emz Cakes reveals a cake bust of Reynolds and even the town’s mayor appears, telling how he is ‘raving abut the film’ despite not having seen it.

The mayor of Wrexham, Councillor Ronnie Prince said: “If you’d told me 18 months ago that Wrexham would be singled out to get an exclusive first look at a Hollywood blockbuster with three of the biggest movie stars in the world, I’d never have believed you.”
