Lucy Mecklenburgh and Ryan Thomas have announced they are expecting their first child together.

Two months after announcing their engagement, Mecklenburgh shared the news with her followers on Instagram.

The former The Only Way Is Essex star posted a picture of Corrination Street's Thomas holding a newborn's onesie.

She captioned the post: "Best birthday present I've ever had. Love you, Ryan Thomas."

Mecklenburgh added emojis showing a baby sucking a dummy and a pregnant woman.

The pair have been together since 2017 after meeting on Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls.
