A Ryanair service from Manchester to Ibiza descended into chaos as a brawl erupted among passengers, leading to an unscheduled landing.

The aircraft, which departed on Sunday evening (September 8), had to make an unexpected stop at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport in France, where police were summoned to manage the situation.

Dramatic footage captured the moment one man was led away by authorities, while another clip showed a woman lashing out at a fellow traveller until police stepped in.

The disruption continued inside the plane, with passengers seen obstructing the aisle while crew members and law enforcement attempted to control the disruptive individuals.

"A guy was arrested who'd started on a woman and then we stopped in France", Jamal Stewart, a 30-year-old Leeds resident and passenger, recounted to MEN.

"He got arrested and she just lost it and started scrapping with everyone."

Max Ramsons, another flyer, described how a man began causing trouble before "fighting" broke out, resulting in the aircraft being "stranded in Toulouse".

After a delay of 90 minutes post-landing in Toulouse, the flight resumed its journey to Ibiza. Flight tracking data from FlightRadar24 showed the aircraft circling twice over southern France before making the detour to Toulouse.

Ryanair issued a statement regarding the incident: "This flight from Manchester to Ibiza (September 8) diverted to Toulouse after a small group of passengers became disruptive inflight".

"The crew called ahead for police assistance, who met the aircraft upon landing at Toulouse and offloaded two passengers before this flight continued to Ibiza."

"We sincerely apologise to passengers for any inconvenience caused as a result of these unruly passengers' behaviour, which was beyond Ryanair's control. This is now a matter for local police."
