This Morning presenter Rylan Clark-Neal has had to clear up a cheeky post on Twitter after a horde of fans became confused.

With the recent #10YearChallenge taking over several social media sites, the 30-year-old thought he'd get in on the action – only to trick his followers with a fake comparison.

Check it out below.

Captioning it "Here we go.... #10YearChallenge #10YearsAgoChallenge," Rylan attached a split image featuring his current appearance alongside Chelsea FC player Olivier Giroud.

You've got to admit, the two do share a similar look.

However, some of Rylan's followers were completely baffled by the post, with one responding: "You had a lot of work done. Your face is completely different and not just trough [sic] age," whilst another added: "Is that really you ?? Wow how u have evolved very handsome xxx."

Awkward.

The former Big Brother's Bit on the Side man has now uploaded a message clarifying all the confusion from his followers, writing: "I really didn’t think I needed to say, but the first pic isn't me it's Olivier Giroud ... what happened to the days of people getting a little lol on Twitter," with a laughing emoji finishing things off.

Following this bout of confusion, we're sure Rylan will be a bit more careful with future tricks on his fans.

Elsewhere, he's also rumoured to be involved with the new version of Supermarket Sweep. Perhaps the World Cup 2018 winner Giroud could make a cameo?
