Rylan Clark says ‘get over it’ as he issues ‘apology’ to Radio 2 star
BBC Radio 2 presenter Rylan Clark has said "get over it" as he issued an "apology" to a fellow presenter.
Addressing the news that Scott Mills is set to take up his new position as the BBC Radio 2 breakfast presenter later this month, Rylan said: "I'm so exited for my boy, he's all grown up, he's taking over BBC Radio 2 breakfast, it's going to be so good."
And, as Scott looks set to complete his transition from his regular afternoon radio slot to his new morning one, Rylan admitted that an old habit of his and Scott's will still go on despite the possibility of a 'hangover': "I'm going to miss him on nights out, but we'll still just have to get him on nights out and he'll be hungover for the show. Sorry, I know I'm supposed to be professional but get over it."

While Scott has been a regular voice on the radio ever since he took over Steve Wright's afternoon slot on BBC Radio 2 last year, it was announced last November that he would replace Zoe Ball on the stations breakfast show.
But as Scott prepares to take the reigns from Zoe on Monday January 27, Rylan told listeners that he would be welcoming the broadcaster onto his Saturday morning show next week for a 'pep talk' ahead of his new role, saying: "Scott, we can't wait for you to start and I should say as well, Scott is going to be on this show next Saturday ahead of his debut."
And the former X Factor star jokingly quipped: "We're going to be giving him a little pep talk, a little massage around the shoulders and I might be throwing some things his way. Because you know when you do breakfast (radio presenting) you've got to be on your game."
Having began his impressive radio career aged just 16, Scott has continued to work his way up the broadcasting ladder down the years, with him having presented his own show on BBC Radio 1 from 2004 until 2022 before now taking over from Zoe Ball on BBC Radio 2.
