Rylan fans disappointed as Robert Rinder sparks romance rumours

Robert Rinder has sparked excitement among fans after sharing an image with Rylan Clark. He captioned the photo "he said maybe" alongside a romantic emoji of a couple with a love heart.

Rylan and Robert took to our screens earlier this year when they travelled around Italy together for BBC show Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour, where they followed in the footsteps of 19th century romantic poet Lord Byron and other Grand Tourists. The TV stars highlighted the art, culture, bad behaviour and life-changing exploits of historic Brits abroad.

The image posted by Robert, best known for his role as Judge Rinder, shows the pair sitting next to each other with BBC star Rylan looking at him. Fans were thrilled by the post uploaded to X, formerly known as Twitter. One fan said: "You two would make a wonderful couple" and another added "Whaaaaaaat! THIS is so exciting"

Other fans rushed to the comments adding "Oh I hope this is what I think it is and I hope he says YES!" and "Oh you two! Such beautiful chemistry."

Hopeful fans were left disappointed when Rylan took to the comments to debunk the romance rumours. The former Celebrity Big Brother winner replied: "He said NOTHING of the sort. #injunction".

One reply read: "Shame, you two make such a great couple and they do say that opposites attract!" A further comment said: "Maybe some day." Only last year, Robert shared a photo that led to romance rumours emerging.

It came after Sir Elton John closed Glastonbury Festival with a two-hour "farewell" show. Robert captioned the post: "Elton’s set at Glastonbury has inspired us to tie the knot. I [heart emoji] @Rylan". Robert was just joking as Rylan was forced to clarify: "Fake news, he's had a wine".

Others have looked past Robert's caption and instead have issued other predictions in the comments. Some fans are eager for another series of BBC show Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour.

Comments including "One of my favourite duos. I can't wait for the next series of your show, the last was so much fun to watch. Really uplifting" and "Ooh, another series? Brilliant!" were left on the post.
