The US Coast Guard deployed air and boat crews to rescue seven people and their dog from a flaming vessel off the coast of Gulfport, Mississippi, on May 21.Aerial footage shows people dressed in red life vests leaving a burning boat. A raft is dropped and the boaters and dog scramble aboard before being brought onto a Coast Guard vessel.Local media reported that the boat’s occupants had issued a mayday call for assistance at 9:26 am on May 21. A Coast Guard spokesman told local media that the boaters and dog were taken to Gulfport to be medically evaluated and were in stable condition.The cause of the fire onboard the 45-foot vessel was unknown.
