Sadness after death of Stoke-on-Trent GP

Tributes are being paid following the death of a GP. Doctor Mahendra Rohatgi was a senior GP at Goldenhill Medical Centre and passed away last night at the age of 85.

Fellow GP Dr Chandra Kanneganti has shared the sad news on social media.

He said: "Dr Rohatgi was a truly compassionate and dedicated GP who touched the lives of so many. His unwavering commitment to the well-being of his patients and the community will never be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers are with their family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know them during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Dr Rohatgi. He will be greatly missed."

Husband-and-wife GPs Mohendra and Shakuntia Rohatgi moved to Stoke-on-Trent in 1975. They opened the purpose-built Sita Medical Centre, on High Street, Goldenhill, in 1987.
