Saharan plume set to bring another heatwave with Coventry among UK's hottest
Another heatwave could be on its way as new weather maps show a Saharan plume is set to hit the UK next week. With it could bring temperatures set to exceed 22C from Thursday, May 23.
It comes after what was the hottest weekend of the year so far with some parts of the country baked in 26C heat, according to the DailyExpress. Sizzling sunshine was also enjoyed across Coventry and Warwickshire.
The forecast for next week predicts that temperatures are set to be warmest in the Midlands, which includes our region, as well as the North East of England. The map shows that the temperatures are set to remain into next weekend.

The Met Office has said, in its long-range forecast. that it is 'still feeling warm' throughout the week. While the local long-range forecast for our area is not yet available, the forecast for this week predicts 'unsettled' weather.
There is set to be a mixture of sunny spells and showers,some of which could be heavy. It is still set to feel warm but will be cooler than last week.
