An innovative food shopping app is causing quite a stir online by offering substantial discounts and even freebies to shoppers.

TikTok's savvy savings advisor ChloesDealClub has lauded app Shopmium as an effective money-saver during grocery runs. Chloe, known for finding top-notch deals, recently highlighted the app's ability to offer "free items" as part of its scheme.

Explaining how Shopmium works, Chloe mentioned that users can sift through deals on the app and sync them with participating retailers who honour the Shopmium offers.

Post-shopping, customers can scan their purchase receipts using Shopmium's barcode scanner to reclaim their cash. Chloe was eager to demonstrate this simple process.

Retail giants such as Tesco and Sainsbury's are included in the app, which features deals on a variety of products including chocolate milk and cheese, with certain items listed as "totally free"

Chloe also drew attention to Nespresso pods among the bargains, advising shoppers to simply buy the item in-store and use the app to "request my cashback".

She advised: "It's super quick and easy to do, you just need to make sure that you get into the habit of checking these apps before you go to these shops. And then write your shopping list and plan your meals based on the items you can get completely free or save a decent amount of money on."

TikTok users have been astounded by the app, with several already making use of it for a while, and the cashback feature being labelled "great" by one user. Another commented: "I've got this it's great!" While a third expressed hope for more stores to join the platform, highlighting the current lack of supermarket giants such as Aldi.
