Saint Mark's Square Closed as Venice Water Levels Rise Again

Saint Mark’s Square in Venice was closed on November 15, as water levels rose again in the flood-hit city.

Local reports said the forecast for the highest tide level had increased, to a possible 160 cm on November 15.

Venice’s mayor, Luigi Brugnaro, said people had “lost everything” in the flooding, the worst to hit Venice in 50 years. Credit: Comune di Venezia via Storyful
