Warrington Wolves coach Sam Burgess did not need long to start mind games and fuel interest in Friday's huge semi-final clash away against Hull Kingston Rovers with his comment about the home side being favourites - and, in fairness, bookmakers' odds are there to back him up.

Rovers head coach Willie Peters will have his chance to respond as he is scheduled to speak to the media to preview the Warrington game in a press conference this afternoon. And, despite being without captain Elliot Minchella, Betfred are making Rovers 4/5 favourites to win the game after 80 minutes, while a Warrington win is 11/10 and a draw is 16/1. With a handicap of 2.5, Hull KR are 10/11 and Warrington are 5/6, highlighting that a tight contest is expected. The Super League table finished with second-placed Rovers on 42 points and third-placed Warrington on 40 points.

After the thrilling home eliminator win over St Helens to reach the semi-final, won by a George Williams drop goal, Burgess had said in his post-match interview on Sky Sports: "We are going there (to Hull KR), that's ok, that's ok with us. They'll be favourites. That sits ok with us. We've got nothing to lose. We've got to recover well and get ready to go on Friday night."

The Warrington coach also fired out another interesting comment, about going on to away territory at Craven Park, when he said: "Our fans have been great all year. I don't think we've got 1200 tickets for Hull KR. It's going to be hard to fit them all in."
