Frustrated fans of Sam Fender have expressed their anger over Tuesday's pre-sale ticket fiasco.

Despite waiting in online queues with the hope of securing tickets for the North Shields musician's first tour in a while, they were informed at the last minute that their access codes were 'invalid. The anticipation for Sam's upcoming third album and his People Watching tour had already created a buzz among fans, especially after he announced UK and European gigs last Friday.

General sale for these tour dates will commence on Friday, October 25. However, the first of three different Sam Fender pre-sales on Tuesday offered fans an early chance to grab tickets. As fans logged onto sites like Seetickets and AXS well before the 10am start, they were placed in online waiting rooms, then transferred to a queue when tickets went live at 10.

But, after a slow progress, some fans who finally reached the page to select from the remaining tickets for each date were told their code was 'invalid'. This sparked a wave of complaints online, particularly as they had spent money on a pre-order of Sam's new album to get the code.

Many disgruntled fans took to social media, tagging Sam and Seetickets in their posts as they vented their frustrations. One irate fan wrote: "Got to the front of the queue for Sam Fender to be told my presale code is invalid. Looks like loads of others with the same issue. How is this possible? What a waste of time."

Another equally frustrated fan ranted: "Wait 50 mins to get to the front of Sam Fender queue, put my code in and... invalid. Are you taking the p**s? "

The only date from Sam's new tour not included in Tuesday's pre-sale was his homecoming gig at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle on Friday, December 20, reports Chronicle Live. Fans are eagerly waiting to see if they've been successful in a ticket ballot for that one, with those successful set to receive access codes in the coming days.
