Angry Sam Fender fans have hit out at Ticketmaster having been left empty handed in Friday's general sale and blaming online 'queuing blunders' for their lack of success.

Given the frenzy for pre-sale tickets earlier on in the week and for the Newcastle ticket ballot on Thursday, the general sale was always going to be busy and, before a single ticket had even gone on sale, Ticketmaster and other sites like Seetickets and AXS were at capacity as fans were kept waiting in queues for a chance to get their hands on some.

Slowly but surely, some Sam fans finally managed to get tickets but for others, having been kept waiting for ages, they were either thrown out of the sale, after wrongly being accused of being a 'bot', unable to make a purchase due to Ticketmaster 'freezing' or the queue not moving or being taken through to a page only to be told there were 'no tickets available.'

It didn't take long for complaints to be directed to Ticketmaster on social media platform X, with one fan blasting: "ticketmaster tell me how ive queued every single day for presale AND started the general queue today with only 1000 people ahead of me and i still do not have sam fender tickets." Among the many others to complain, a second posted: "Imagine joining the waiting room early, being in a good position in the queue and then @TicketmasterUK freezing and you not getting Sam Fender tickets on presale AND general sale. Ticketmaster is an absolute scam"

A third wrote: "why is ticketmaster/any ticket experience a shamblessss!! at the front on ticketmaster for sam fender and it’s completely froze ???" as other fans reported a much simpler experience on Seetickets, claiming to have got tickets 'within minutes.'

Just before 12 noon on Friday, Sam took to his Instagram story to confirm that ever single UK date on his People Watching tour had sold out, as an update on his website teased 'more announcements soon.'
