Yahoo News Sam and Samira share kiss on tonight's Love Island
Samira Mighty's luck finally looks to be changing in tonight's episode of Love Island (June 24).
After being chosen by newcomer Sam Bird in the recoupling, the two of them share a surprise kiss.
Samira asks Sam why he picked her over Rosie and he responds: "I think it was just, I've had to go by the chats and the big thing was the dates. You were the only girl to make me laugh. That's nice.
"I'm a bit of a geek as well. I think it was just, it flowed well. At the end of the day, we're going to be sharing a bed. I want to see what happens."
Samira admits she has similar feelings towards Sam: "I felt proper comfortable with you. I'm the kind of person where thank God I can get to know you properly. I like a starting point."
Sam then moves in for the kiss, but not before wooing her with his words: "It's exciting stuff. I would do a 'cheers' but I haven't got a drink. I'll give you a kiss instead."
Samira is elated by their lip locking, later expressing to the camera in the beach hut that she is finally out of the friend zone.
"It's my first romantic kiss, and a boy put it on me. Not being like 'kiss me!' So yeah, it was cute. It was quite quick but I was into it. I'm into it."
Love Island airs these scenes at 9pm on ITV2.
