Sam Worthington Remembers Producer Jon Landau With An ‘Avatar’ Reference

Sam Worthington, who played hero Jake Sully in the original Avatar and sequel Avatar: The Way of Water, and is set to appear in Avatar 3, 4, and 5, has issued a statement on the death of producer Jon Landau, whom he worked with on the films.

Worthington referenced the Na’vi (The People), the sapient humanoids who inhabit the lush moon of Pandora in the films, in his message.

“Jon was all heart. He made everything and everyone he touched feel they could be better. He led with humor and strength, compassion and kindness. The People say all energy is borrowed and someday you have to give it back. I see you, Jon.”
