The Duchess of Sussex’s half-sister Samantha Markle has denied reports that her father Thomas has reached out to the Archbishop of Canterbury for help regarding access to his future grandchild.

According to the Mail Online, Meghan’s father wants to help heal his rift with daughter Meghan and is allegedly considering a legal fight.

A source also told The Mirror: ‘Thomas says the Markle blood will be as much in the child’s veins as the “blue blood” of the royals and he has “rights.”‘

‘He admits mistakes but with Meghan pregnant, he is desperate to heal the rift.

‘Thomas has reached out to Kensington Palace more so since news of Meghan’s pregnancy broke, hoping the baby will be what finally breaks their estrangement.’

But Samantha responded to the reports on Twitter with a link to the Mail’s article and “just an idea of what tabloids make up none of this is true ha ha ha ha ha ha ridiculous [sic]”

Thomas reportedly found out that his daughter, 37, was pregnant with her and Prince Harry’s first child on his car radio.

At the time of the announcement, the palace declined to comment on whether Thomas had been informed of her pregnancy.

However Samantha told The Sun: “It just makes everything that happened over the last year disappear. I want Meghan to be happy and calm and have peace. Everybody needs to be positive.

“I would hope that — for the sake of the baby, the family, the world and my dad — that leaving him out of the statement was not intentional.

“I hope my dad is included and at a proper time. If he is excluded, I won’t be happy. It is in the best interests of the baby for my dad to be included.

“A baby changes everything and softens everyone. I would only hope that there would be some adjustment or some way of including him.”

Samantha also apologised to her sister during an appearance on Jeremy Vine on 5.

However, she has since criticised Meghan for her speech she gave about her college education in Fiji on the royal tour, branding her ‘delusional’ and ‘a liar.’
