Samantha Womack is unrecognisable after EastEnders exit

It looks like EastEnders star Samantha Womack is leaving Ronnie Mitchell well and truly behind her as she unveils a very different look for her brand new role.

Samantha has transformed into the famously evil Morticia Addams for her part in the Addams Family musical comedy – the actress's first project since leaving EastEnders.

Swapping her signature blonde hair for Morticia's dark tresses, fans were left stunned when Samantha debuted the very different look on Twitter.

Fans rushed to compliment Samantha after she shared her image transformation by posting a selfie, captioning it: "Mmmmmmmm Morticia feeling Sassy".

The Addams Family musical kicked off in Edinburgh last week, ahead of a UK wide tour which will also take in dates in Birmingham, Cardiff, Dublin, London and many more.

Samantha departed EastEnders last year in a shock story twist that saw Ronnie and her sister Roxy die in a grisly swimming pool accident.

After her final scenes aired in January, Samantha tweeted that she was "honestly broken" by Ronnie's fate – and later explained why she was so upset during a live interview on This Morning back in March.
