We're almost at that time of year where the new models of all our smartphones and gadgets come out and take our money so we're forced to buy the cheapest Christmas presents for our loved ones.
And it looks like Samsung's head of its mobile division, DJ Koh, has said when the newest Samsung Galaxy Note will be announced and released.
CNET says that Koh told Taiwanese reporters the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be announced at the end of August and then released worldwide across September and October.

The publication states that they believe the announcement will happen in New York on August 23 or 26, and, going off what has happened in previous years, the US and South Korea will be the first countries to get their hands on the new phone. Take all this with a pinch of salt, though.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was infamous for exploding, and the device was discontinued last October, with the firm apparently losing $5.3 billion.
Samsung explained that the casing was too small in the original lithium-iron battery, causing it to short-circuit and burst into flames.
The company also apologised for the whole debacle, saying: "For those customers who received the device… we recognise that we have not lived up to your expectations, or our own high standards. For this we are truly sorry."
