Samsung Galaxy S10 leak reveals major camera upgrade and massive battery

The Samsung Galaxy S10 has leaked once again, less than two weeks ahead of its official unveiling.

New details about the flagship device's battery and front-facing camera were revealed by an inside source, who also confirmed previous rumours about the smartphone's screen.

According to the leaker, Samsung will include a major battery upgrade, with the top-of-the-line Galaxy S10 featuring a 4,100 mAh unit. This compares to a 3,000 mAh capacity for the Galaxy S9 and a 3,500 mAh battery in the Galaxy S9+.

Previous leaks have confirmed that Samsung will unveil three different versions of the Galaxy S10 on 20 February, each varying in size, specs and price.

An entry level Galaxy S10e will be complimented by a standard Galaxy S10 and a premium Galaxy S10+.

The two higher-end models are expected to feature a dual-lens selfie camera, capable of supporting 4K video capture.

The latest leak, which comes courtesy of GSMArena, also confirms the inclusion of an in-screen fingerprint scanner, which was first rumoured last year.

This function allows Samsung to create an all-screen device while still including biometric security features conveniently at the front of the device.

The hole-punch design for the front-facing camera also enables maximum screen size, while also avoiding the notch design first introduced by Apple with the iPhone X.

Other rumours surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S10 include significantly increased internal storage capacity, reverse wireless charging and a breakthrough camera feature.

It could also potentially feature an in-built cryptocurrency wallet, following a trend of other smartphone makers to include support for next-generation payments.

No details have been officially revealed by the South Korean electronics giant, as the company policy is to not discuss rumours or leaks surrounding unreleased devices.

Samsung is also expected to announce new wireless headphones, a Galaxy smartwatch and potentially even a Galaxy X foldable smartphone.
