High surf conditions lashed San Diego’s Ocean Beach Pier on January 5, prompting officials to shut down access to the area after a powerful storm hit parts of the state.
The pier was shut down on Thursday morning, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, due to the surf conditions.
The National Weather Service issued a high surf warning for the region, urging locals to avoid jetties, piers, and other waterside infrastructure.
