San Francisco Residents Line Up For Tests Amid Nationwide Omicron Surge

Lines were seen at COVID-19 testing locations in San Francisco on Thursday, December 23, amid a nationwide surge in cases fueled by the Omicron variant.

California has seen fewer cases than other hard hit states like New York, but positive results are on the rise ahead of the holidays. On Thursday, state authorities reported 15,485 new cases, and a 7 day test positivity rate of 4.2 percent.
