Sansa Stark and Jon Snow will never ever get together romantically on 'Game of Thrones'

Brother-sister duo (for all intents and purposes) Sansa Stark and Jon Snow have made it home to Winterfell. Now what?

At the "Game of Thrones" panel at San Diego Comic-Con, one curious fan asked actress Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa, if she sees a romantic future with the newly crowned King of the North.

The young man approached the microphone and asked," So, Jon Snow and Sansa aren't really brother and sister and —"

"Don't ask me this," Turner interrupted. The audience giggled.

"He likes redheads, okay?" the man continued, referencing Jon's late love interest, Ygritte. "So ... I was wondering like, what kind of issues you think it could cause on that front?"

By this time, the audience is going nuts — their gasps topped by only the cringe on Turner's face.

"All right, here we go, let's get the party started," Turner says. "Jon likes redheads, he does. But Sansa and Jon grew up together. They may as well be siblings. They have that sibling rivalry."

For as long as George R.R. Martin's book series has been around, fans have speculated who Jon's real parents are. In the season six finale of the show, we finally got our answer. Jon is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, making him Sansa's cousin.

The recently installed King of the North was raised by his mother's biological brother, Ned, and his wife Catalin. He knows no other family but the Starks.

It seems far-fetched that his homecoming to Winterfell would prompt new feelings for Sansa.

Turner made it clear she is not interested.

"I don't know, but I swear to God, David [Benioff, showrunner of "Game of Thrones"], if you make anything happen, I will kill you," she joked.

"It hadn't occured to us, but, thank you," Benioff and co-showrunner D.B. Weiss shot right back.
