Santa trades sleigh for a helicopter at Weston’s Family Fun Day

Santa’s ditching the reindeer for rotor blades this Christmas as he touches down at the Helicopter Museum’s annual Family Fun Day on Sunday, December 8.

The annual event, now in its 19th year will see Santa, his elves and his snowman friend pop in for the day to greet visitors in his woodland grotto.

As well as being able to meet Santa, Children will be able to sit in his famous sleigh that will be parked at the museum for the day. Also, on the day there will be charity stalls, games, Christmas Magic Shows at 11.30am and 1.30pm, a wide array of open cockpits and Seasonal Fayre will be served in the Museum Café throughout the day.

“All children purchasing admission tickets on the day will be getting a free present from Santa.” said the museum’s visitor services manager, Tom Umpleby.

“Santa is will be here between 10am and 2pm and he is really looking forward to greeting all the children from the local area.”

The Helicopter Museum is a Registered Charity and houses the World's largest collection of helicopters including two aircraft of The Queens Royal Flight, the world’s oldest helicopter, the world’s fastest helicopter and the veterans of the Vietnam conflict.
