Santa's grottos around Coventry worth visiting for 2024
The festive season is fast approaching, and Christmas is not the same without visiting Santa's grotto. Whether it's at a festive attraction, a store, a garden centre, or a farm, meeting Father Christmas is what many kids dream about.
There are some great events planned around Coventry for 2024 to visit Santa. You can join Santa on a sleigh or steam ride or visit him at a farm.
Some of the events are pre-booking, so booking in advance is best, especially for key weekends and the week leading up to Christmas. Take a look at our guide below on where you can see Santa this year.

Storytelling with Father Christmas at St Mary's Guildhall
Join Father Christmas and his helpers for a storytelling session, gingerbread decorating, and a range of children's crafts. The event includes each child having the opportunity to meet Santa and receive a small chocolate selection box gift. It is expected to take around one hour.
The event will be held on November 30, December 7, December 21, and December 23 and is suitable for all ages. Tickets are £8 for adults and £18 for children, which can be purchased via the St Mary's Guildhall website.
Father Christmas Experience at The Barn at Barryfields
The Barn at Barryfields is offering a 'magical' festive experience. It starts with a 15-minute elf show, where Father Christmas' elves perform and tell a Christmas story. Then, you'll head over to the gingerbread decorating station and enjoy a festive snack, freshly made in the Barn bakery daily.
Then, head over to Santa's grotto to meet his reindeer and feed them; then, you'll have the chance to meet him 1-2-1 and receive a magical gift token. The experience finishes in the elf workshop to trade your magical token for your gift.
You can also try skating on the eco-skating rink, head to the bar, or enjoy some festive street food. These activities are not part of the experience but can be purchased separately. Child tickets are £27.50, and adult tickets are £12.50, with babies in arms free, which can be purchased at The Barn at Barryfields website.
Vintage Sleigh Ride at Coventry Transport Museum
Take a ride on an enchanting vintage sleigh, meet Santa, visit Santa's workshop for festive activities, and collect your gift. The ticket price includes free admission to the museum. Ticket holders will also receive a special book co-created by Coventry author Aaron Ashmore.
The sleigh ride will be open from November 22 to December 23 from 10:30am to 4pm. Purchase your tickets via the Coventry Transport Museum website.
Enchanted Christmas Kingdom at Hatton Adventure World
Hatton Adventure World has many festive activities, from gingerbread decorating with Mrs Claus, reindeer food making, an interactive North Pole postal station to send letters to Santa, a '3D Glowing Forest', and a chance to visit Santa's grotto and choose a gift from his secret toy shop.
The animal home will also be decorated, and there will be an indoor super slide mania, fairground rides, and Mr Holly's Festive Friends show, which will run from November 30 on weekends. For more information and to book tickets, visit the Hatton World website.
Magical Sleigh Ride VR at West Orchards

After the ride, the children will chat with Santa and receive a small chocolate gift. The ride will be open from Wednesday to Sunday from November 27 to December 24. Tickets are £7.50 per person for off-peak and £8.50 per person for peak days. Click here to book your place.
