A woman who is accused of having a baby with a boy has denied sexually abusing him in her bed and at a golf course.

Sarah Campbell, 39, is charged with 15 sexual offences in respect of two teenage boys between 2016 and 2018.

Campbell, of Bootle, Liverpool, cried in the dock as she denied all of the allegations at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday afternoon.

The charges are all said to have involved her intentionally touching the boys in a sexual way, "not reasonably believing" they were 16 or over.

Campbell faces nine counts of sexual activity with Boy A, when he was aged between 13 and 15, all of which allegedly took place between 2016 and 2018.

Eight of these counts are alleged to have involved penetrative sexual activity, with some specifying this took place in her bed and once at a golf course.

One charge specifies that her daughter was conceived on that occasion when she allegedly sexually abused the boy.

The remaining non-penetrative count in relation to Boy A is said to have involved her touching him with her feet.

Campbell faces six counts of sexual activity with Boy B, when he was aged between 13 and 15, all said to have happened between 2016 and 2017.

Four of these counts are alleged to have involved penetrative sexual activity and the other counts are said to have involved two non-penetrative sexual activity.

Judge Louise Brandon set a trial for 9 May next year and it is expected to last four to five days.

She remanded Campbell on conditional bail until that date.
