Former Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding fled her lead role in broadway show Ghost the Musical during the interval on Monday night.
The 34-year-old star has been cast in the lead role of Molly – made famous by Demi Moore in the Hollywood movie – and left theatre goers worried and bemused when she was replaced by her understudy midway through the performance at Blackpool’s famous Winter Gardens.
Her run in the show has been marred by illness as the Love Machine singer was previously diagnosed with an upper respiratory tract infection which took her six days to get over and although she was a no-show for the second half on Monday, her rep has assured fans she’ll take to the stage tonight.
A representative told BANG Showbiz: “Sarah had to take six days off to recover from a throat infection, shortly after opening but returned to the show.
“I can’t disclose the specific reason she had to pull out of the second half last night but rest assured she’s back on stage tonight.”
Get well soon, Sarah x
