Although Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Phillippe and a blonde Pacey (OK, Joshua Jackson) were sorely missed, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair still enjoyed a mini Cruel Intentions reunion of their own.

Sarah shared a slightly blurry picture of herself cosying up with former co-star Selma on a night out in Beverly Hills, and added the caption: "Sometimes you make a decision to go out, even though you are tired, and magic happens.

"@therealselmablair my girl crush, now and forever."

It's been almost 18 years (!!) since the stars shared that kiss in the hit teen movie (they won an award for it and everything), and we love that nearly two decades later they're still crushing on each other.

Selma shared a similar sentiment on her Instagram page, posting the same photo with the caption: "My angels really pulled through last night.

"So many wonderful women celebrating @theskimm but the most important to me was cuddling with my forever girl @sarahmgellar, I needed that."

Sarah recently announced that she would be reprising her role as the twisted Kathryn for an NBC reboot of the 1999 film. Sadly, it was later confirmed that the series was no longer happening, but could be redeveloped by Sony at some point in the future.

At the time, the Buffy star posted a snap of herself on set as Kathryn and had added the caption: "#Crueltv #makeup#kathrynmerteuil Don't think she's much of a jeans and tee shirt kind of girl."

Speaking about the role, Sarah had said (via E!): "We have to do it right. It's a naughty show and we have to pay homage to what it is."

Please change your mind, guys. WE NEED THIS?!
