Sasha Exeter is giving fans a post-operation update.

On Tuesday, the Canadian influencer took to Instagram to share a series of photos alongside a lengthy caption about her journey with fibroids, which she recently had surgery to remove.

In one of the snaps, the 42-year-old laid in a hospital bed while Maxwell, her four-year-old daughter, gave her a kiss on the cheek. Exeter also posted a video of a nurse changing her bandages, and a clip of the flowers and gifts that friends and family left on her bedside.

"One week post op…and five weeks to go. Lots of cuddles, soups, tears, pain and swelling. My stomach has been home to fibroids for over 20 years, but never caused any issues until last year after I got vaccinated," the Toronto, Ont.-native began in the caption. "The beginning of the recovery has sucked not going to lie (my bladder seems to be the last to bounce back) but I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to be on the other side of this."

Exeter also explained how excited she was to mitigate her uncomfortable symptoms.

"To have the never ending bleeding stop. To not have these foreign things push on my organs anymore. To re-gain energy and mental clarity after so much brain fogginess and exhaustion," she added. "And omg, finally no more trying to hide my growing belly on set and to fit comfortably into clothes again soon. Gah, if y’all only knew the level of theatrics and holding in my stomach for hours on end at work to not appear like I looked pregnant over the last few months."

According to Health Alberta, fibroids are abnormal growths that develop in or around a woman's uterus or stomach. These tumors range in size and can sometimes cause severe abdominal pain, heavy periods and bleeding between periods. The cause of fibroids is unknown.

Exeter's message was quickly met with supportive comments from fans and friends.

"Sending more healing light your way," wrote "ET Canada" host Cheryl Hickey.

"You're so strong, an inspiration, and you're so brave! Wishing you a speedy recovery and all the healing vibes in the world," commented a fan.

"Sasha, you're an inspiration to many women out there," a fan told Exeter. "Trust the process and rest up!"

"Major trooper! You're amazing — thank you for being so open and vulnerable. You're going to be back soon better than ever!" added another.
