Satellite Captures Dust and Smoke Blowing Across New Mexico as Red Flag Warnings Remain
Dust and smoke blew across New Mexico as the National Weather Service (NWS) said that fire-weather warnings would remain in place for the area on Monday, May 9, amid high winds.
Imagery captured by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s GOES East satellite on Sunday night shows plumes of dust and wildfire smoke blowing across the state.
