Satellite imagery shows Hurricane Milton’s eastward journey from the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic Ocean from October 5 to October 10.
Footage released by the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere shows Milton’s multi-day evolution strengthening in the Gulf of Mexico, its landfall in Siesta Key, Florida, and its movement into the Atlantic. Milton strengthened to a Category 5 storm twice before making landfall as a Category 3 storm on Wednesday.
