Satellite Imagery Shows North Pacific Ship Tracks

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) released footage showing ship tracks in the North Pacific, recorded on October 5 and 6.

The false-color timelapse imagery shows streaks which “can form when tiny aerosol particles from ship exhaust act as cloud condensation nuclei where moisture in the atmosphere can condense,” the NOAA said. Credit: NOAA Satellites via Storyful
