Satellite Imagery Shows Storms Forming in Oklahoma
Satellite imagery shows the formation of a severe storm in Oklahoma on May 31.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) used what is known as a ‘sandwich loop’ to track the storm. “Sandwich loops combine both visible and infrared imagery, which provides meteorologists additional information about developing storms,” the NOAA explained in a tweet.
